According to the law of gravity everything that goes up eventually will come down, and everything that exalts itself without God will fall down. 2 Corinthians 10:5 Says, We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. In the AMP Says, [Inasmuch as we] refute arguments and theories and reasoning’s and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God; and we lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).
A tower symbolizes security, protection and dependence on what man has built and is often associated with its height, In the Hebrew language, tower is also another word for pride. In the scriptures, Daniel chapter 4, we find that Nebuchadnezzar was warned by a dream from God of his future act of pride and arrogance ,to think that it was because of him that his power was great. In the dream we see a scenario where there is this tall tree that reaches up to the heavens. So tall that can be seen it from the entire world, and so wide that it offers shadow to every human and beast, symbolizing protection and security, which brings dependence. It also says that the tree was very fruitful and everyone who took shadow in it ate from its fruit. Nebuchadnezzar describes, that in his dream he saw a vigilant that came down from heaven and said in Daniel 4:14 He cried aloud [with might] and said, Cut down the tree and cut off its branches; shake off its leaves and scatter its fruit. Let the living creatures flee from under it and the fowls from its branches. The vigilant, God commanded for the three to be cut down and said in verse 17, This sentence is by the decree of the [heavenly] watchers and the decision is by the word of the holy ones (the trinity of God, to the intent that the living may know that the Most High [God] rules the kingdom of mankind and gives it to whomever He will and sets over it the humblest and lowliest of men. We can see this same scenario when God went down to the tower of Nimrod, his trinity, and confused their language to stop their act of rebellion. Verse 26 Says, And in that it was commanded to leave the stump of the roots of the tree, your kingdom shall be sure to you after you have learned and know that [the God of] heaven rules. In verse 27, Daniel advices the king to offer offerings of repentance to God, to do justice and to care for the weak, in other to come down low in humility but in verse 29 says after twelve months the king was walking through his glorious palace and saw the beauty and greatness of his kingdom and 30The king said, Is not this the great Babylon that I have built as the royal residence and seat of government by the might of my power and for the honor and glory of my majesty? And the sentence that was revealed by Daniel for the king’s dream came to pass, the Bible says that the second he proclaimed this words, his kingdom was taken away from him and he was given a heart of a beast and after seven times passed, years, and his time was fulfilled he looked up to heaven in verse 37 and his consciousness was given back to him and he worshiped the Almighty and recognized that God rules over all heaven and earth that he has dominion over earth and the kingdoms of earth are established by him. God had to bring him low so that he could look up, the law of gravity took its course, for nothing that is exalted or elevated above its natural or original place or state can stand firm and look up steadily. This was for him to understand that everything he had accomplished through his kingdom was given solely by God, not by merits, talents, understanding, knowledge or anything he possessed. For the word says in Romans 9:15 For he says to Moses, "I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion." God is a sovereign God and his will is above all we can do, say or think. He is God! Isaiah 55:8 says, "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD.
The same thing is happening to America, September 11, 2001 was a very devastating time for our nation, I was 13 years old and remember watching the twin towers being trespassed by planes over and over again in the news, it was one of the most scariest time our nation had ever faced. We saw people throwing themselves from the windows of the twin towers, children lost their parents, pastors lost their members and fireman and police lost their lives trying to save others and extinguish the fire. People who were rescued are still suffering the consequences until today. It was very devastating…Such a time as this was supposed to be a time of awareness, a time of retrain, and reflection in other words to rethink our steps as a nation and ask ourselves, what have we as the greatest nation on earth done wrong for an attack such as this to take place, but instead we became arrogant and we said we will rebuild stronger and better like Israel did in Isaiah 9:10 "The bricks have fallen down, but we will rebuild with dressed stone; the fig trees have been felled, but we will replace them with cedars", this same scripture quoted by Tom Daschle’s a day after the incident, by John Edwards on 9/11/2004 and then by President Barack Obama. They stated judgment upon our nation not knowing what they were citing. Instead of repenting we believed that we could do it on our own strength. We reinforced security on our airports, government buildings and every public place, we thought, we will outsmart our enemies but the truth is that things have only gotten worse. Government public places get threats all the time and even within our own people we have been witnesses of schools, malls, universities, hospitals, etc. massacres. Obama said in one of his speeches in presidency that he didn’t understand why he was experiencing so much attacks of this sort in his presidency without taking in consideration the decisions made by him and his administration that raised the suicidal rates, baby killing and identity crisis from adults to young kids in our nation. It is said that groups of ISIS have been gathering in different countries like Mexico within miles of our borders to execute terrorist attacks against us. Our economy has gone down by a lot we owe ourselves to China by trillions of dollars; the recession in 2008 was a consequence of what happened in 9/11. We have been facing very hard years and we don’t find a way to rise up again, for the only way to rise up again is trough repentance NOT philosophy, critical thinking or gay pride. The towers represented the economic power and strength of the USA and just like Nebuchadnezzar and Israel God took away his hedge of protection not to condemn people but instead to warn them of the future to provoke in them a spirit of repentance. For God is a God of mercy and he loves the world, he warns for repentance. The scripture states that his compassion is greater than his judgments. God is asking come back to me.
Would you make this prayer with me?
Holy Father, I come before you with a humble heart. I acknowledge that I am a sinner in need of a Savior; I repent from my sins and ask for your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus died for me in the Cross of Calvary for my sins. I accept Jesus as the Lord and Savior of my Heart. Amen
